American Earth focuses its limited resources on issues that that fit our Principles, represent opportunities, or are illustrative or representative of broader themes. We may prioritize issues of limited interest to other environmental organizations and initiatives.
Initial priorities
Stabilize US population
Current rapid US population growth exacerbates almost every environmental problem, and shortens the time available for solutions. Population has been neglected by the environmental movement for decades. It’s time to relearn our history on the issue, and the math driving future population projections.
End mass immigration and adopt remigration
The only way to stabilize US population is to end mass immigration (legal and illegal) and adopt remigration.
Protect public lands
US public lands are a heritage held in trust for future generations. Their conservation is a patriotic duty.
Moratorium on new trade agreements
The US should put a moratorium on new trade agreements. Most current and proposed trade agreements undermine the sovereignty of all levels of popularly elected governments in the US. This empowers large corporations and concentrated wealth. Trade agreements threaten many US environmental laws and policies.
Defend public conservation workers
American Earth believes in protecting public conservation and environmental employees who in the course of their rightful duties are threatened or endangered by violence or abuse.
